Product Description

An All-Around Bass Worm for Swimming, Texas Rigs, and Shaky Heads

The Kickin’ Finesse Worm 7" is an all-around soft plastic worm that’s perfect for most bass applications, especially swimming, Texas rigs, and shaky heads. Its kicker-style tail produces a subtle, natural flutter on the fall and through the retrieve, giving it lifelike movement without a loud presentation. This 7-inch size offers a versatile bass profile, whether you’re swimming it steadily or slowing down to work cover.

Photo comparison: Some photos show the 5.5", 7", and 9" Kickin’ Finesse Worms for size comparison. This listing is for the 7" size only.

Looking for another size? Try the smaller 5.5" Kickin’ Finesse Worm or the larger 9" Kickin’ Finesse Worm.

Best For

  • Largemouth and smallmouth bass in clear to lightly stained water
  • Swimming presentations, Texas rigs, and shaky heads
  • Carolina rigs

Use When

Reach for the Kickin’ Finesse Worm 7" when you want a versatile worm for everyday bass fishing. Swim it when you want a moving presentation, or work it slowly on a Texas rig or shaky head when fish are pressured, finicky, or holding near cover.

How to Rig the Kickin' Finesse Worm 7"

  • Texas rig: 3/0 EWG hook with a 3/16 oz bullet weight. A starting setup for an all-around bass presentation.
  • Swimming worm: Rig it straight and weedless on an EWG hook and use a steady retrieve to bring the kicker tails to life.
  • Shaky head: Rig the worm straight on a suitably sized shaky head. Work it slowly along the bottom with small shakes and pauses, letting the floating tails lift and flutter while the nose stays down.
  • Carolina rig: Work it slowly along the bottom, letting the floating tails lift and flutter during pauses.

Why It Works

  • Kicker-style tail: Subtle flutter on the fall and retrieve that looks alive without spooking cautious fish.
  • Floating plastic: Keeps the tails lifted and moving even when the worm is resting.
  • Versatile 7-inch profile: An all-around choice for most bass applications, especially swimming, Texas rigs, and shaky heads.
  • Multiple presentations: Swim it steadily or slow down with a Texas rig, Carolina rig, or shaky head.

A Note from Finn: Why I Chose This Mold

The tails offer a little bit of action even while the worm is sitting still, and because I used a floating plastic the tail stays upright. These are great shaky head worms and an excellent swimming worm too. If you like fishing pintail worms, you can remove the kicker tails and you’ve got one of those. I like baits that give you a few options, and these do exactly that.
