A Micro Bait for Ice-Fishing Panfish
The UFO 1.1" is a micro visitor from another planet, built for perch, crappie, and bluegill through the ice. At just 1.1 inches, this is a micro soft plastic bait for subtle presentations and ultralight jigging. Its disk-tipped legs and tail flutter when jigged up and down, giving it lifelike buggy action without needing a forward retrieve. When panfish want a tiny target, this little visitor is ready to land.

Use When
Reach for the UFO 1.1" when you’re jigging vertically through the ice and panfish want a very small, subtle target. Small up-and-down movements bring the legs and tail to life. It also works for ultralight open-water presentations when you want to keep your bait tiny.
How to Rig the UFO 1.1"
- Ice-fishing jig: Size 6 hook with a 1/80 oz jighead. Jig gently up and down to make the disk-tipped legs and tail flutter.
- Ultralight open-water jigging: Use the same tiny jighead setup for a subtle vertical presentation near panfish.
- Under a bobber: Suspend the bait near fish and let its legs flutter with small movements.

A Note from Finn: Why I Chose This Mold
I found these molds while looking for an ice bait. Ice anglers sit straight above their bait, so it has to have action when it’s jigged up and down instead of pulled. These have a small disk at the end of each leg and the tail, so everything flutters on that vertical move. It turned out to be a huge hit for boat anglers targeting panfish and crappie too.
