Product Description

The Curly Tail Confidence Bait to Start With

The Go-to Grub earns its name as the confidence bait many anglers reach for when they need a reliable starting point. Not sure what to throw? Start with the Go-to Grub. Its single curly tail creates steady, natural action at any retrieve speed, even when the bait is barely moving. The 4" size is a great choice for larger bass or when you want a bigger-profile trailer.

Photo comparison: Some photos show the 2", 3", and 4" Go-to Grubs for size comparison. This listing is for the 4" size only.

Looking for another size? Try the smaller 2" Go-to Grub or 3" Go-to Grub.

Best For

  • Larger bass
  • Slow, steady retrieves in open water
  • Adding curly-tail action to a spinnerbait or chatterbait

Use When

Reach for the 4" Go-to Grub when you want a larger profile without giving up slow, subtle tail action. It’s an easy bait to fish on its own or as a trailer behind a moving lure.

  • Larger profile: The 4" size gives you a bigger presentation for larger bass or trailer use.

A Note from Finn: Why I Chose This Mold

Grubs are just a trusty bait, the kind everyone from kids to grandparents uses, so I knew I had to have a set of these molds for my customers. What I didn’t expect was how much grubs vary. I bought at least a dozen retail brands, tested them all, and then went looking for molds that matched what I wanted to offer. These have a thin tail that gives great action even on a slow retrieve, and the bodies are thick enough for a variety of hooks but thin enough to keep a small profile. Try the 4" as a trailer. You won’t be sad.
