Product Description

A Bite-Size Crab for Crustacean Eaters

Crabsolutely, the best meal is bite-sized. The Fab Crab 1.3" is a compact soft plastic crab with a snack-size shell and legs stretching to about 2" overall. This crab may be small, but it has plenty of attitude. Rig it on a jighead or drop shot, keep it near the bottom, and let the legs add subtle movement around structure. No sideways walking required.

Best For

  • Redfish, snook, flounder, and sheepshead
  • Lingcod, cabazon, greenlings, sand dabs, and rockfish
  • Saltwater species feeding on crabs and small crustaceans

Use When

Reach for the Fab Crab when fish are looking for a compact snack, you’re matching small crab forage, or you want a simple bottom presentation.

How to Rig the Fab Crab

  • Jighead: Present the crab close to the bottom with a simple hop-and-pause retrieve.
  • Drop shot: Keep the bait just above the bottom and let the small legs add subtle movement.

Why It Works

  • Crabsolutely compact: The 1.3" shell offers a realistic, snack-size profile.
  • About 2 inches overall: Legs add extra presence and subtle movement in the water.
  • Crustacean profile: Gives saltwater fish a familiar meal to key in on.
  • Easy to rig: Works well on a jighead or drop shot.

A Note from Finn: Why I Chose This Mold

This idea came from the cleaning table. When I was fileting out my catches, I kept noticing the fish had been snacking on small crabs. So I set off to find a mold that could make crabs of a similar size, with enough body to seat a hook well. The Fab Crab is the result, a bite-size crab that matches what the fish are already eating.
