Product Description
A Classic Shrimp Look with a Clean Getaway
The Shrimpy Shrimp 3" pairs a traditional shrimp shape with large eyes and a flat tail that helps it glide through the water. With no legs to get in the way, its streamlined profile moves easily through grass and kelp when rigged weedless. A belly slot helps accommodate an EWG hook, giving you more options for weedless presentations. It’s a shrimp with somewhere to be, and your hook is the perfect getaway vehicle.
A natural pick for inshore anglers, but don’t leave it out of your freshwater lineup. Try it on a Ned head or as a trailer behind a skirted jig or chatterbait for a different look.

Best For
- Saltwater fish feeding on shrimp
- Weedless presentations through grass, kelp, and other cover
- Freshwater Ned rigs and trailers for skirted jigs or chatterbaits
- A traditional shrimp profile with a natural gliding action
Use When
Reach for the Shrimpy Shrimp 3" when fish are feeding on shrimp and you want a clean, gliding presentation. Its legless shape keeps extra appendages out of the way around grass and kelp, while the belly slot makes it a natural partner for an EWG hook. In freshwater, give it a turn on a Ned head for slow bottom presentations, or use it behind a skirted jig or chatterbait when you want a compact trailer with a flat gliding tail.
How to Rig the Shrimpy Shrimp 3"
- EWG hook: Rig it weedless on a 2/0 EWG hook, using the belly slot to accommodate the hook. Work it through grass, kelp, and other cover.
- Jighead: 1/8 - 1/4 oz.
- Ned head: 1/8 - 1/4 oz. Try slow drags, small movements, and pauses along the bottom in freshwater or inshore.
- Skirted jig trailer: Thread it straight onto the jig hook for a compact freshwater trailer with a shrimp-shaped profile.
- Chatterbait trailer: Rig it straight behind the blade and let its streamlined body and flat tail complement the lure’s movement.
Why It Works
- Traditional shrimp profile: A familiar shrimp shape with large eyes gives it a lifelike look.
- Flat tail: Helps the bait glide through the water.
- Legless design: Keeps extra appendages from catching grass and kelp during weedless presentations.
- Belly slot: Helps accommodate EWG hooks for more weedless rigging options.
- 3-inch profile: Offers a compact shrimp silhouette without unnecessary extras.

A Note from Finn: Why I Chose This Mold
I wanted a shrimp bait that would move through kelp beds and grass with ease. To me that meant a thin body I could rig on an EWG hook. Appendages create drag that keeps a bait from gliding well, and they can even make it lay over on its side as it sinks. So I went for a mold with a simple shrimp shape that glides well and casts great.
