Product Description
A Little Sci-Fi Horror for Your Tackle Box
The Fish Hugger 2" is a soft plastic creature bait inspired by the famous Facehugger from the Alien films. With splayed legs, a compact body, and a long ribbed tail, it brings an unmistakably otherworldly shape to your fishing lineup.
Best For
- Anglers who enjoy compact creature-style baits
- Sci-fi and horror fans looking for a little personality in their tackle box
- Trying a different profile when you want to change up your presentation
Use When
Reach for the Fish Hugger when you want to experiment with a small creature profile instead of a familiar minnow or worm shape. Its 2-inch size makes it an option to explore for panfish and small bass.
Rigging Ideas
- Light jighead: Choose a hook that fits the body without crowding the legs, and start with gentle lifts and pauses. Our jighead rigging guide can help you get started.
- Under a bobber: Try suspending it on a small jighead and add occasional subtle twitches.
A Closer Look
- 2-inch profile: A compact creature shape with plenty of character.
- Splayed legs: Give the bait its distinctive Facehugger-inspired silhouette.
- Long ribbed tail: Completes the alien-inspired design.

Why This Mold Was a Must-Have
Both of us grew up enjoying sci-fi and horror, so when we saw this design, it felt like a must-have. The Alien universe gave us more than a memorable movie creature. It also introduced us to one of the first strong, independent female leads we remember seeing: Ellen Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver.
The Fish Hugger brings a little of that shared movie nostalgia to the bait table and your tackle box. A familiar inspiration, with a Fintastic fishing twist.
